Funny things we find on the road

Our visit to Koins of Kenya

I found this women setting in the crowd and found her quite photographic
These women and children came to the handover of the well.
In this area they walk up to 4 hours to get water
these well will really help!

here he is inspecting the marching group as part of a ceremony
we were invited because LDS charities donated three wells for this area.



This is a picture of a new school that was built by students in South Summit Utah
It took them a year to raise enough funds to build this school
as you can see the new school is named after the one in south summit utah.

and we are donating Bountiful High text books

Sand Dams are one of our big projects

This is a river bed that is being prepared for a sand dam
using rocks and concrete these works form a wall
that will hold the flood waters back so that the water can soak back into
the soil

Fire in the Slums

Sept 16th 2009 there was a fire in the Fata Nyao Slums
about 115 families were displaced by the fire

We were on the ground the following day
accessing the damage.
